The staff are wonderful! Dila and Joel were especially friendly and helpful, and really went the extra mile to look after us, and the dinner (beautifully cooked by Sunil) was exceptional - in fact it was one of the best rib-eye steaks I've ever had - and excellent value for money too. Part of the hotel is being used to house Afghani refugees while they await proper resettlement, and apart from a little noise from the younger children - who were also very smiley and sweet - the impact on our stay was only positive: we felt privileged to meet some of the people who have helped our country at such great sacrifice to themselves, and we also had a lovely, quiet separate room for breakfast, with a whole tray of nicely cooked sausages and bacon just for the two of us! The room was comfortable, quiet and clean. We work in Canterbury regularly and will definitely be back.

Our Family was room was great and very comfortable; the sofa bed was very large and didn't seem at all temporary (like some 'camp beds' can be). Breakfasts were excellent and catered for all tastes and needs. Most of all the staff were excellent; well trained, polite and very welcoming and helpful. Nothing seemed too much trouble. The hospitality staff at breakfast time were very attentive and making sure there were supplies of everything at all times. Most of all, staff smiled and appeared to really enjoy their job and take pride in their work and to deliver a high standard of service. Well done, Holiday Inn Express, Canterbury. Hope to be back soon.

As we were at a wedding I called ahead on the day and spoke to a helpful guy at Reception, he charged my card and checked us in so that when we arrived at around 11.30pm feeling a little worse for wear we were able to quickly grab our room key, some water and head straight up to the room. The room was wery clean and had everything available that one needs for an overnight stay. My friend had forgotten her toothbrush and was able to get one from reception at no charge. Shower was good, great pressure and nice and hot. Good value for money

We stayed for a week to drop my son off to Uni and get orientated with the area. Location to the Uni and centre of Canterbury was super easy to get to (8-10mins drive). If you are taking a taxi, it's only £10 to Canterbury West Station. The staff were really friendly. Rooms clean and comfy. They currently have Afghan refugees staying there (nice to see a hotel helping out like this) and this had no negative impact on the service or stay at all. Breakfast was good - simple but pretty much everything you would need. I'd stay again.

Rachel

The convenience of the venue with it's excellent car park. Charming and helpful staff who went the extra mile to make us welcome and provide good meal service. Freshly decorated bedrooms which were maintained to a high standard.
